Package: vim-gtk Version: 2:7.3.333-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream
When using a tiling window manager such as xmonad or dwm, starting gvim in a window produces the following errors when I try to close the file: E852: The child process failed to start the GUI[xcb] Unknown sequence number while processing queue [xcb] Most likely this is a multi-threaded client and XInitThreads has not been called [xcb] Aborting, sorry about that. gvim: ../../src/xcb_io.c:273: poll_for_event: Assertion `!xcb_xlib_threads_sequence_lost' failed. After this, I have to kill the window to be able to continue. This only happens with version 7.3 of vim. I compiled 7.2 and it worked correctly. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages vim-gtk depends on: ii libacl1 2.2.51-3 ii libc6 2.13-21 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.24.0-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.28.6-1 ii libgpm2 1.20.4-4 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.6-2 ii libice6 2:1.0.7-2 ii liblua5.1-0 5.1.4-10 ii libpango1.0-0 1.29.4-1 ii libperl5.12 5.12.4-5 ii libpython2.7 2.7.2-6 ii libruby1.8 1.8.7.352-2 ii libselinux1 2.1.0-1 ii libsm6 2:1.2.0-2 ii libtinfo5 5.9-2 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.4-2 ii libxt6 1:1.1.1-2 ii tcl8.5 8.5.10-1 ii vim-common 2:7.3.333-1 ii vim-gui-common 2:7.3.333-1 ii vim-runtime 2:7.3.333-1 vim-gtk recommends no packages.
