Why not just package libmusicbrainz4 and port sound-juicer to work with it? I'd work on this if I could be sure that nobody else is doing so. It's a bit murky as to how to get involved with any GNOME project (no flame intended). I have also downloaded the SJ source code and it's not commented, sadly.
