Package: git-annex Version: 3.20110928 Severity: normal Hi,
When a remote is defined using an url prefix alias through the url.<base>.insteadOf configuration settings, git-annex apparently fails to resolve the complete url and connect to the remote. Here is what I get (the remote is accessed by ssh): $ git annex get file1 get file1 (from origin...) ssh: Could not resolve hostname lab: Name or service not known rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [Receiver] rsync error: unexplained error (code 255) at io.c(601) [Receiver=3.0.8] rsync failed -- run git annex again to resume file transfer Unable to access these remotes: origin Try making some of these repositories available: bb80923e-ebc5-11e0-bd7a-e3011d062a4e -- lab failed git-annex: 1 failed Cheers, Denis. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages git-annex depends on: ii git [git-core] 1:1.7.6.3-1 ii git-core 1:1.7.6.3-1 ii libc6 2.13-21 ii libffi5 3.0.10-1 ii libgmp10 2:5.0.2+dfsg-1 ii libpcre3 8.12-4 ii openssh-client 1:5.9p1-1 ii rsync 3.0.8-1 ii uuid 1.6.2-1.1 ii wget 1.13-1 git-annex recommends no packages.
