nope, you've seen all the relevant bits of dmesg, and the kernel is
booted with "verbose".
Does this bug need to be reassigned to the kernel or is it in e2fsprogs?
Do you have a patch you want me to try? (it'd be much easier for me to
try a patched e2fsprogs than a patched kernel on remote hardware)
