Package: auto-install-el Version: 1.48-1 Severity: normal File: /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50auto-install-el.el
/usr/share/doc/emacsen-common/debian-emacs-policy.gz section 9 asks lisp add-ons to add directories with debian-pkg-add-load-path-item rather than directly modifying load-path the way 50auto-install-el.el does. I believe debian-pkg-add-load-path-item is available as of "sarge" emacsen-common 1.4.14 of June 2002. It aims to keep /usr/local ahead of packaged lisp dirs so that /usr/local has precedence. Also in 50auto-install-el.el it might be better to use the variable `debian-emacs-flavor' rather than `flavor'. The latter is only a let-binding coming from /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/debian-startup.el, whereas debian-emacs-flavor is documented in debian-emacs-policy.gz. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-486 Locale: LANG=en_AU, LC_CTYPE=en_AU (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages auto-install-el depends on: ii emacs22-gtk [emacs22] 22.3+1-1.2 ii emacs23 23.3+1-1 auto-install-el recommends no packages. auto-install-el suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
