I've just looked at #642922 which states that this should be fixed in dash 0.5.7-2. I am running that version and I disabled the tests-use-bash is the darcs patches and it now fails again with: Running issue1763-pull-fails-on-non-ascii-filenames.sh ...hlibrary.setup: interrupted make: *** [build/libghc-darcs-dev] Error 1 Re-enabling the tests-use-bash patch and the package builds. There is still some important difference between dash and bash.
