I think your module is affected by the kernel -> linux name transition introduced by Kernel 2.6.12, because it build against my kernel linux-2.6.12-1-hz100 (build with make-kpkg and "--stem linux" option) with: "Depends: kernel-image-2.6.12-1-hz100" in modules control file.
