Package: unattended-upgrades
Version: 0.72.3
Severity: minor
/etc/init.d/unattended-upgrades expects unattended-upgrades to be installed:
# invoke-rc.d unattended-upgrades stop
Checking for running unattended-upgrades: python: can't open file
'/usr/share/unattended-upgrades/unattended-upgrade-shutdown': [Errno
2] No such file or directory
invoke-rc.d: initscript unattended-upgrades, action "stop" failed.
root@vinci:/etc/init.d#
This is problematic because of rc0.d/K01unattended-upgrades and
rc6.d/K01unattended-upgrades. When shutting down (or restarting), these
fail unless unattended-upgrades is installed. The error is quite visible.
I'm setting severity to minor as this does not affect functionality nor
cause any "real" problem. For those still annoyed by the error, the
obvious workaround is to install or purge unattended-upgrades.
