Package: gnome Version: 1:2.10.2.3 Severity: important Really weird one; if you can't reproduce it, feel free to close. I upgraded a testing machine to the new version of GNOME, started from gdm, and after the upgrade and quitting the old GNOME session, GNOME would simply not restart: I could log on, but then I couldn't get anywhere, either in normal or in GNOME failsafe mode. No windows, no menus, just a blank X background. But when I rebooted my machine, it started working correctly. No idea why, sorry :(
