And some extra details: playing with mplayer on the command line is fine. Only when playing with smplayer is that I had problems. With smplayer, I can play a random amount of video, but then it gets the problem that Sven originally reported. Just for the record, the first time that I discovered this bug was when I was watching a movie with my wife, which was a let down. :-( > Can you please file a bug on gecko-mediaplayer to change its > dependencies to allow it to work with mplayer2? Thanks. Looking closely, the bug is actually on a dependency of gecko-mediaplayer, gnome-mplayer, which you already file a bug against. Now, we have to wait for the maintainer to just put one simple change in the control file and upload it... Seems like I will have to compile a private copy of gnome-mplayer and upload it to my PPA, without being able to share the benefits with a wider user base. :-( Cheers, -- Rogério Brito : rbrito@{ime.usp.br,gmail.com} : GPG key 4096R/BCFCAAAA http://rb.doesntexist.org : Packages for LaTeX : algorithms.berlios.de DebianQA: http://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=rbrito%40ime.usp.br -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
