Package: pidgin Version: 2.10.0-1+b1 Followup-For: Bug #545143 I just got hit by this bug and can confirm that Ben Wheeler's workaround, to disable all accounts then re-enable them, works. Also, I did not need to restart pidgin between disabling and re-enabling.
