Package: makepasswd Version: 1.10-6 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer, In long description, there is mentioned that makepasswd uses /dev/urandom "feature of Linux". /dev/urandom is available under many unices now. makepasswd works on Debian Hurd and KFreeBSD ports as well (at least it should, since all dependencies are met).
Mention of Linux in long description is misleading and should be removed. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to pl_PL.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages makepasswd depends on: ii libcrypt-openssl-random-perl 0.04-1+b3 ii libcrypt-passwdmd5-perl 1.3-10 ii perl 5.12.4-4 makepasswd recommends no packages. makepasswd suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
