As far as I can see, this one is caused by call in thread.c on line 4257 (aprox) at the end of the function Init_Thread:
rb_thread_create_timer_thread(); This is partially related to ruby bug http://redmine.ruby-lang.org/issues/3436. From my point of view this is not a bug. I would suggest closing this issue.
