Package: gpstrans
Version: 0.39-3
Severity: important

I'm using Garmin etrex connected with an official garmin cable and an
USB=>serial adapter (many computers today don't have a serial port).

Protocol of trying to load route data:

$ gpstrans -p/dev/ttyUSB0 -dr
GPStrans (ASCII) - Version 0.39

Trying to identify the connected GPS device:

$ gpstrans -p/dev/ttyUSB0 -i
GPStrans (ASCII) - Version 0.39

Same thing.
Solution: gpstrans should support USB => serial devices.
