I suppose that could be put in an appropriate package. Not sure what would be appropriate but not debhelper. And debhelper could use it. I'm not really thrilled by adding more heuristics. If you're working on this upstream it would be ever so much better if "python setup.py test" simply exited nonzero when there's no test suite. -- see shy jo
