Dear Maintainer,
dh_python2 will warn when it finds installation of files in a location
not expected by --install-layout=deb. This warning should include the
srcdir for additional debugging help. E.g.
log.warn('Python %s should install files in %s. '
'Did you forget "--install-layout=deb"?',
ver, sitedir(version))
Perhaps add something like:
log.warn('Python %s should install files in %s instead of %s. '
'Did you forget "--install-layout=deb"?',
ver, srcdir, sitedir(version))
OT1H the exact wording might be a little misleading, so I'm sure you
can work out something better. :) OTOH, knowing the srcdir that
dhpy2 is complaining about has been helpful to me in the past.
