Dear Bastian, Sorry to make you wait. I am progressing slower as there are large changes in the directory tree from version 1.2 to 1.3, which complicates the inspection of the diff for new copyright or license statements. At least I found a new convenience copy of samtools and I have not yet worked out how to use Debian's copy instead.
In the meantime, if this is not a problem for you, you can check out the debian directory of the source package at the following URL.
