For historical reasons, I have a healthy disbelief in release schedules. :-) In any case we do need to get d-i's udev support fully sorted out fairly urgently as 2.6.13 approaches, and that will likely involve at least some experimentation with using hotplug instead of discover (even if that's not the final decision); I would rather like my test d-i installs to come up reasonably quickly while that experimentation is taking place. If there's absolutely no way that you will accept the grepmap patch to hotplug in the meantime then I'll retract the ITP, but I would like you to consider it in case unforeseen circumstances cause "next month" to turn into "six months from now".
