Package: tk8.5 Version: 8.5.10-1 Severity: important Various Tk-based programs only display menu text in the top-left of the screen. This is quite obvious with a tear-away menu, where it's easy to move it in or out of the zone where text is displayed. It does not seem to depend on the general font chosen and programs written using other toolkits seem to work fine.
I first spotted the issue in exmh and considered reporting it against that package, but some quick experimentation shows tha it pops up in at least tkmib and the "widget" demo provided with perl-tk. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-2-486 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages tk8.5 depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-7 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-2.2 generic font configuration library ii libx11-6 2:1.4.3-1 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 2:1.1.2-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxft2 2.2.0-2 FreeType-based font drawing librar ii libxss1 1:1.2.1-1 X11 Screen Saver extension library ii tcl8.5 8.5.10-1 Tcl (the Tool Command Language) v8 Versions of packages tk8.5 recommends: ii xterm [x-terminal-emulator] 244-2 X terminal emulator tk8.5 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
