Package: makedev
Version: 2.3.1-78
Severity: normal

Currently "input" generated four event devices (/dev/input/event[0123]).
On many system, laptops in particular this isn't enough though because
you can easily exeed this limit when plugging in external mouses or
keyboards. I would therefor recommend to create more event devices
(5-6 seems pretty regular use, so we should have at least 7-8, don't know
if we really should generate all (32?) possible ones)

See http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/09/msg00512.html for more
(partly objecting) opinions and Bug#324604 for the original issue.

Gruesse,
        Frank Lichtenheld
