Well, i took over the package since Jens died tragically in July, and nobody
seemed to take over.

I mostly did this to get real packages going and again mol modules for the
2.6.12-6 kernels, and fixed it so it built fine in etch/sid.

As a result, i think it is not as important to do whatever you are trying to
do, and if you are running etch/sid you should use the official kernels, and
we will only support 2.6.12 or higher anyway, which are running fine with
gcc-4.0.

But then, if you really want this feature, please provide a patch, and if it
doesn't break the normal build case, i will consider applying it.
