Package: udev Version: 172-1 Severity: normal When booting my system while I don't have mdadm installed, udev complains that mdadm couldn't be found with the following message:
/var/log/syslog:Aug 31 19:08:19 workstation udevd[21476]: failed to execute '/sbin/mdadm' '/sbin/mdadm --examine --export /dev/sdb': No such file or directory Interestingly only /dev/sdB is complained about, no message including /dev/sdA The check seems to come from /lib/udev/rules.d/80-udisks.rules in line 102 On the other hand does the udev package not have a dependency on mdadm. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages udev depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.40 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.13-16 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libselinux1 2.0.98-1.1 SELinux runtime shared libraries ii libudev0 172-1 libudev shared library ii lsb-base 3.2-27 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii util-linux 2.19.1-5 Miscellaneous system utilities Versions of packages udev recommends: ii pciutils 1:3.1.7-12 Linux PCI Utilities ii usbutils 1:004-2 Linux USB utilities udev suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
