Yeah, it's very annoying that it doesn't work that way. It though
works already this way:
$ conkeror file:///usr/share/doc/conkeror/copyright
Nevertheless it's annoying that it only works that way.

Yeah, all other browsers I know work that way and that's also the rule
of the least surprise.
