Hm, that's not surprising given that the bug was originally
experienced with 2.6.38.

(Side note: to get the kernel version, one can use "cat /proc/version"
and look for the string in parentheses starting with "Debian", or run

 dpkg-query -W linux-image-$(uname -r)

In particular, current squeeze kernels are 2.6.32-thirtysomething.)
