I don't think so. mountavfs essantially starts the avfsd daemon that takes care
of everything, so I guess the mounting is done internally. The easiest way to
test would be to compile the package on GNU/kfreeBSD and run mountavfs to
create $PWD/.avfs and start avfsd.
