Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal In oldstable and stable, oolite (<= 1.65-7) and oolite-data (<= 1.65-3) source packages are each producing a binary package, the former depending on the latter.
In unstable, both binary packages are produced by the oolite (>= 1.74-2) source package. Version 1.65-3 of oolite-data is not affected by any bug. The only packages in unstable that depend on it are produced by the new oolite source and specify that they need a strictly newer version. If I understand well http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/pkgs.html#removing-pkgs, the oolite-data source package should have been removed semi-automatically. The oolite-data binary name conflict may explain why this is not detected. All this could be considered mostly harmless but… I am a Debian Maintainer with the DMUA field for oolite, sponsored by the Ludovic Brenta <lbre...@debian.org>. My uploads to unstable are rejected with the following message.
