Package: snmpd Version: 5.4.3~dfsg-2.2 Severity: important hi,
When I set -Lf/-LF X (or any combo like -LfX, -LFX, etc.; where X is a value such as '5' or 'w', per snmpcmd(1) ) instead of logging at LOG_INFO or LOG_WARNING it creates a socket file instead of logging at that level. If this is a 'feature', then the manual should say so, otherwise it should be classified as a bug, as it does unexpected (or undocumented) behaviour. thanks -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (190, 'experimental'), (190, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-2-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages snmpd depends on: ii adduser 3.113 add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.40 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.13-16 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libsnmp15 5.4.3~dfsg-2.2 SNMP (Simple Network Management Pr ii libwrap0 7.6.q-21 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii lsb-base 3.2-27 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip snmpd recommends no packages. snmpd suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/default/snmpd changed [not included] /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf changed [not included] /etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'/etc/snmp/snmptrapd.conf' -- debconf information: snmpd/upgradefrom521: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
