Package: geoip-database-contrib Version: 1.4 Severity: wishlist The package installs a cronjob which updates the database montly. Nowadays, not everyone has broadband connection and ISP bill people for traffic.
It would be nice to have /usr/sbin/geoip-database-contrib_update script read /etc/default/geoip for update preferences. Or any other convinient way. Debconf is the best of course. :) -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages geoip-database-contrib depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.40 Debian configuration management sy ii ucf 3.0025+nmu2 Update Configuration File: preserv ii wget 1.12-5 retrieves files from the web geoip-database-contrib recommends no packages.
