It does!!! There's an issue with the VGA text console though (I'm talking about text mode only), which is planned to be fixed in 3.0.2, and is already in for 3.1.x. However, you can use the framebuffer console instead, as a workaround. I already sent a mail to the debian-kernel list to make sure they know. It seems that the patch is already in 3.0.0-2.
