Yeah, the name 'half-installed' is double-misleading. According to the policy §6.8 and §6.6 one may see this state in some cases when preinst/postrm script fail and an error unwind fails as well. So I wondered if certain versions of that package can be used to reproduce the bug. Otherwise I will need to setup something artificial. -- Eugene V.
