mplayer displays top lines of DebConf11 OGV videos[0] incorrectly. I
believe that this is a problem with the player, not with the files,
because mplayer in squeeze show them correctly. See the attached frame
dumps.
If I remember correctly this is an issue with the FFmpeg decoder
(probably one of the many slice-rendering issues, in which case
-noslices helps).
Indeed, "-noslices" fixes the problem.
Using -vc theora to force the libtheora decoder should help as well
(can be used in config file: "vc=theora,").
Right, "-vc theora" fixes the isuee, too.
