http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=586812 has now been fixed and pdftotext in wheezy with systemtap 1.6-1 does not report errors: lindi2:~$ cp /usr/share/doc/systemtap-doc/langref.pdf . lindi2:~$ pdftotext langref.pdf lindi2:~$ echo $? 0 Is it ok to close the bug? I don't know how to verify if langref.pdf still breaks the PDF specification but at least the visible symptoms no longer occur.
