I was mistaken in my initial assessment; the fix should be complete.

This alone should cause the mount point to be skipped, as it only looks
at ext2, ext3, ext4 and xfs.

Do you have any local modifications in /etc/cron.daily/standard that
might have prevented an automatic upgrade by dpkg?

If not, can you try to reproduce the error (eg: by running the script)
and send me the output of the relevant parts of /etc/mtab?
