It seems the bug is still exist:

$ dpkg --print-architecture

i386

$ uname -srvmo

Linux 2.6.39-2-amd64 #1 SMP Tue Jul 5 04:40:39 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ phoronix-test-suite diagnostics | grep OS_ARCH
OS_ARCH = x86_64
$ phoronix-test-suite benchmark pts/cpu

The following dependencies are needed and will be installed:

- ia32-libs
- libc6-dev
...

I am realizing it should be reported upstream but I don't know how to do
that; do they have a bug tracker or mailing list. So I've filed a Debian
bug report in hope that you know better how to forward this one to upstream
developers.

Best regards,
Andrey
