Package: libmail-imapclient-perl Version: 3.25-1 Severity: important Tags: upstream
The Mail::IMAPClient shipping in squeeze has serious issues processing logout properly, where it will erroneously report failures if the server's logout text has been split across multiple packets. Dovecot (used here) is apparently particularly prone to producing the problem. For our own use, we have been downgrading to the lenny supplied 3.08 version, without any loss of functionality we need; this may not work for others. This bug has been fixed upstream in 3.26 and newer. Debian unstable and testing are now shipping 3.28, which include the fix. The original upstream bug report can be found as rt.cpan.org#60045. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.2 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libmail-imapclient-perl depends on: ii libparse-recdescent-pe 1.965001+dfsg-1 Perl module to create and use recu ii perl 5.10.1-17squeeze2 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction Versions of packages libmail-imapclient-perl recommends: ii libdigest-hmac-perl 1.02+dfsg-1 module for creating standard messa ii libio-socket-ssl-perl 1.33-1+squeeze1 Perl module implementing object or Versions of packages libmail-imapclient-perl suggests: ii libauthen-sasl-perl 2.1500-1 Authen::SASL - SASL Authentication -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
