I had the same problem, here. Downgrading libcurl3-gnutls from 7.21.6-3 to 7.21.0-1 fixed it for me. On a different system, I have the same issue with versions 7.18.2-8lenny4 and 7.18.2-8lenny5 (or at least the same symptoms...).
