Yes. There are some kind of search order problem in fontconfig.

When you update this package, however, same problem will occur because
of fontconfig search order.
I'll fix it or check next TeXLive (maybe TL2011) upload in Debian.
One idea is to use /etc/alternatives/ttf-japanese-{mincho,gothic}.ttf.
