I forgot...

I think you were talking about that javascript-common alias directive
could override the access of mantis "javascript" directory, but that is
not the case..

In a default configuration, combining javascript-common apache
directive, apache2 default directive, and mantis apache directive, the:

http://host/mantis/javascript/files

are accesible (not listed) and loaded without any trouble.

If you have a "default installation", and you have not change your
apache config files, if you include in your apache mantis.conf directive
this line:  Options +Indexes , reload the apache and call the url :
http://host/mantis/javascript/ ... you could see all the javascript
files located under "javascript" directory in mantis..

Then may be (I don't really know), you do not have a default
configuration or you have changed some directives from your apache
configuration files. (is just a guess).
