Package: pcmanfm Version: 0.9.8-1 Severity: whishlist pcmanfm does noes not know how to open symbolic links, even if it does known how to open the file a symbolic link points to. So, when trying to open a symbolic link, it would be nice if pcmanfm could resolve the link (as in `readlink -f`) to known what is the file type, and use the the appropriate handler for that file type to open the link.
This will probably require messing with libfm and/or gio2/gvfs, though. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (150, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.0.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=pt_BR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages pcmanfm depends on: ii libc6 2.13-11 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.10.2-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libfm-gtk0 0.1.14-2 file management support - GTK+ GUI ii libfm0 0.1.14-2 file management support - core lib ii libglib2.0-0 2.28.6-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.5-3 GTK+ graphical user interface libr ii libpango1.0-0 1.28.4-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libx11-6 2:1.4.3-2 X11 client-side library Versions of packages pcmanfm recommends: ii gnome-icon-theme 3.0.0-4 GNOME Desktop icon theme pn gvfs-backends <none> (no description available) pn gvfs-fuse <none> (no description available) pcmanfm suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- Antonio Terceiro <terce...@softwarelivre.org> http://softwarelivre.org/terceiro
