Package: signing-party
Version: 1.1.3-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I've got a script that wraps caff, so I can easily do some "useful"
stuff, like adding signature notes to my key signature. As part of what
I do, I call caff something like

caff -u "$myfpr" "$theirfpr"

i.e., the script knows what my key fingerprint is, and passes it (the
full fingerprint) on to caff.

When I try that, the following happens:

wouter@samba:~$ caff -u CF62318D5BBED48F33ACD5431B0006256FB29164

one of your keyid in ./caffrc (it will not be used).
[ERROR] None of the local-user keys seem to be known as a keyid listed in
./caffrc.

Okay, so we update ~/.caffrc with the correct information, and try again:

wouter@samba:~$ caff -u CF62318D5BBED48F33ACD5431B0006256FB29164

digit) keyid in /home/wouter/.caffrc.

Well, no, it's a full fingerprint. Duh.

If I want to sign with my key, I have to be less specific. This is not a
feature.
