Package: mount Version: 2.19.1-4 Severity: important
tab_parse.c:mnt_parse_mountinfo_line parses "none" in src as NULL, tab_update.c:fprintf_mtab_fs sets m1 to NULL instead of "none" and returns -ENOMEM, tab_update.c:update_table says "write entry failed: Success", as errno hasn't been set, and gotos to leave, leaving mtab not updated. This is probably not an issue on a system which gets rebooted, as no "none" entries ever get written to mtab, but on a running system which gets an update of the mount package this causes serious trouble. For example, I lost all metadata on my e-book reader, as umount failed to unmount it and I unplugged it too early, having my FAT corrupted. You definitely owe me a beer, Karel! :-) -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (990, 'stable'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (200, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-lis-00027-g707c119 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=cs_CZ.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=cs_CZ.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages mount depends on: ii libblkid1 2.17.2-9.1 block device id library ii libc6 2.13-4 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libmount1 2.19.1-4 block device id library ii libselinux1 2.0.98-1+b1 SELinux runtime shared libraries ii libsepol1 2.0.42-1 SELinux library for manipulating b mount recommends no packages.
