he states that the bug #633652 is fixed and
closed by the new version of the package
dbus_1.4.12-5_amd64.deb and its friends.
I immediately upgraded both a Debian unstable and a
Debian testing. Both systems got a new version of dbus:
root@sally:/home/bob# dpkg -l | grep dbus

then I tested from an xterm su-ed to root. I tested with:
xterm, xclock, iceweasel and emacs. The xterm and xclock
worked but both iceweasel and emacs failed with the same
error as reported originally by jida...@jidanni.org:
