This seems to have been merged into Gnucash upstream, so instead of a new
source package (which requires an RFP) you now just need an extra binary
package from the gnucash source. Andrew Ruthven and Samuel Pauls have done
some work on that on Bug #617728, but perhaps someone from the Python team
could check that it follows current Debian Python best-practice?
