I think this has been already been fixed in 0.14.1 and pybootchartgui -t appears to work fine here. Any chance you can give a try? just unpack the tarball from https://github.com/mmeeks/bootchart, cd bootchart2-0.14.1 && python pybootchartgui.py -t without installing anything to check.
