Package: sensors-applet
Version: 2.2.7-3
Severity: normal

Hi co-Linuxiens,

I chose to use the GNOME Sensors Applet which functions almost right.

In fact, if I switch from open-source Radeon (AMD/ATi) driver to proprietary
FGLRX driver, then I loose a sensor, which is not a big trouble and is not
the point of this bug report either.

All that I had to say is sensors-applet is sometimes very annoying :

I feel uncomfortable with sensors-applet to yield the following error
message again and again : (certainly pop-upped via libnotify)

Error updating sensor temp1
An error occured while trying to update the value of the sensor temp1 located
at sensor://radeon-pci-0200/0.

I thought it would have been nice if the user could be able to tune the
behavior of sensors-applet in order it not to display the same error message
endlessly. And later on, maybe, to tell it to forget this restriction in
order to see any single occurence of any error message again.

In hope my report will prove useful.

Kind regards,
Valentin
