Hi, After a dist-upgrade to wheezy I experienced the same bug.
When I found the solution of Message #15 (LD_BIND_NOW=1 icedove) to work I tried to change the command starting Icedove in GNUstep/Default/WMState (obviously I am running wmaker) and failed, somehow I had managed to trash the whole file. Fortunately I had a copy of it around to use which was from a prior wheezy installation I had abandoned.
