Package: dx Version: 4.3.2-5
Hi, 'dx -script' does not seem to work for me on SMP machines, though forcing dx to use only one processor allows it to succeed: 'dx -processors 1 -script' I can successfully execute nets within visual mode even without specifying the uniprocessor, but this obviates the possibility of using dx within an automated environment. Here's some relevant output: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dx -version Open Visualization Data Explorer Executive, version 04.3.2000 (11:06:38, Jul 19 2005) Open Visualization Data Explorer Script, 04.3.2000 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dx -script Starting DX executive Open Visualization Data Explorer More Info at www.research.ibm.com/dx and www.opendx.org Version - 4.3.2 ^-C [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dx -processors 1 -script Starting DX executive Open Visualization Data Explorer More Info at www.research.ibm.com/dx and www.opendx.org Version - 4.3.2 Memory cache will use 1520 MB (94 for small items, 1426 for large) 0: worker here [22246] dx> [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a Linux chef 2.6.10-1-k7-smp #1 SMP Fri Mar 11 04:38:08 EST 2005 i686 GNU/Linux [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg -l | grep libc ii libc6 2.3.5-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone data [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ Without the single processor argument, dx will just hang forever trying to enter the script mode... Any help is appreciated. For now, I just make do with half the speed possible. I'd be happy to provide any extra information necessary. Take care, Daniel -- Daniel A.
