Hello,

Am Mi den 29. Jun 2011 um 10:29 schrieb Ludovic Rousseau:
Are you using pcsc-lite with GnuPG or the GnuPG internal CCID driver?

I am not sure what you wont to know. I use pcsc-lite (the library) and
gnupg for signing my mails and stuff. I do not know what CCID is.

Try to generate pcscd logs using
http://pcsclite.alioth.debian.org/ccid.html#support

I'll try.

With so little information in the syslog entry I can't help.

I believe that. But if I had more myself I would have digging into the
source still.

Now for the new information.
- - First I cached a other similar output:
    Jun 30 10:37:40 ikki 9>
    Jun 30 10:37:40 ikki pcscd: pcscdaemon.c:658:clean_temp_files() Cannot
remove /var/run/pcscd/pcscd.comm: No such file or directory
    Jun 30 10:37:40 ikki pcscd: pcscdaemon.c:663:clean_temp_files() Cannot
remove /var/run/pcscd/pcscd.pid: No such file or directory

As you can see there is a connection to pcscd. No other log message was
logged around that issue.

Also the other messages are always followed by messages of pcscd:
    Jul  4 21:24:21 ikki 4>
    Jul  4 21:24:21 ikki pcscd: pcscdaemon.c:658:clean_temp_files() Cannot
remove /var/run/pcscd/pcscd.comm: No such file or directory
    Jul  4 21:24:21 ikki pcscd: pcscdaemon.c:663:clean_temp_files() Cannot
remove /var/run/pcscd/pcscd.pid: No such file or directory

So, but now to your requested information:
- - Version of ccid: 1.4.4-1 (libccid)
- - pcsc-lite version: 1.7.4-1 (libpcsclite1)
- - Smart card reader name: answered before.
- - Output of /usr/sbin/pcscd --version:
    pcsc-lite version 1.7.4.

- - Operation system name: Debian GNU/Linux
- - Version: Sid
- - Middleware: Not known how to get that
- - Reader manufacturer: Still answered.
- - Smart card name: Answered too.

To get the debug log output is a bit tricky. The problem is that pcscd
is started by gnupg when issuing a signature and is automatically
exiting some seconds afterwards.

This is because of the autostart feature
http://ludovicrousseau.blogspot.com/2010/09/pcscd-auto-start.html

Will start it in front of sending this mail with debug options.

I think I know why you get these 2 log lines.

I also think it is already fixed upstream:
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pcsclite-cvs-commit/2011-July/005372.html

If you want to confirm the bug has been fixed you can use the pcsc-lite snapshot at http://ludovic.rousseau.free.fr/softwares/pcsc-lite/

Thanks
