Package: network-manager-gnome Version: 0.8.999-1 Severity: normal Since I updated to GNOME 3 (gnome-shell) NM behaves strange. It connects to my wired connection (managed, DHCP) but the status of my system is offline. E.g. all non GNOME 3 application (e.g. Pidgin, Liferea) stay in offline mode and refuse to connect to the internet.
A workaround for pidgin is to start it with '-f' to force it to connect. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.39-2-amd64 Debian Release: wheezy/sid 990 testing security.debian.org 990 testing mirror.switch.ch 800 unstable mirror.switch.ch 150 experimental mirror.switch.ch --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =====================================-+-============== libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.12.4) | 2.0.1-2 libc6 (>= 2.3) | 2.13-7 libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4) | 1.10.2-6 libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.0.2) | 1.4.12-2 libdbus-glib-1-2 (>= 0.88) | 0.94-2 libfontconfig1 (>= 2.8.0) | 2.8.0-2.2 libfreetype6 (>= 2.2.1) | 2.4.4-2 libgconf2-4 (>= 2.27.0) | 2.32.4-1 libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (>= 2.22.0) | 2.23.5-1 libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.18.0) | 2.28.6-1 libgnome-bluetooth7 (>= 2.27.5) | 2.30.0-2 libgnome-keyring0 (>= 2.20.3) | 3.0.3-1 libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.24.0) | 2.24.4-3 libnm-glib-vpn1 (>= 0.7.999) | 0.8.9997-1 libnm-glib4 (>= 0.8.998) | 0.8.9997-1 libnm-util2 (>= 0.8.998) | 0.8.9997-1 libnotify1 (>= 0.5.0) | 0.5.0-2 libnotify1-gtk2.10 | libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0) | 1.28.4-1 gconf2 (>= 2.28.1-2) | 2.32.4-1 network-manager (>= 0.8.998) | 0.8.9997-1 policykit-1-gnome | 0.101-2 gnome-icon-theme | 3.0.0-3 dbus-x11 | 1.4.12-2 Recommends (Version) | Installed =============================================-+-=========== notification-daemon | 0.5.0-3 libpam-keyring | mobile-broadband-provider-info | 20110424-1 gnome-bluetooth | 3.0.0-1 Suggests (Version) | Installed ============================================-+-=========== network-manager-openvpn-gnome | network-manager-vpnc-gnome | 0.8.999-1 network-manager-pptp-gnome |
