Package: mcelog Version: 0.4-4 mcelog's postinst mails, if it doesn't find /dev/mcelog, root with an error message. It does this by calling mail(1) directly, but doesn't depend on the mailx package. Using debconf notices (or something like that) would anyway be a better way to do it.
